Valve Cover Races

Annette Franklin and her car “Mouse Mobile” won the Valve Cover Races, unseating the previous several years’ winner, Allen Bradley and his car “Rat Fink”. In addition, Danny Weil won the special “I BEAT ALLEN BRADLEY” award for being the one to actually defeat Allen’s car!

Valve Cover Design: This award is decided by the Race Coordiantor and given to the best LOOKING racer

Savana Baldwin’s entry was judged to be the best-looking racer.

Hard Luck: Given to the person who had the most difficulty arriving (or NOT arriving!!) to the show.

Hans J. Hassinger 1972 MGB/GT
Hans Hassinger drove his 1972 MGB/GT to the Friday evening reception with no problems. However, when he tried to start in to go home afterwards, SMOKE billowed out from under the dash. The dash wiring had caught fire!! Hans says it’s repairable, but it was a LOTof smoke and they had to bail out fast!
